  • Teen drivers have the highest crash risk of any age group. 78% of accidents involving 16 year old drivers are due to driver error. So talk to your kids about paying attention to the road, and not talking on the phone or to their friends. By teaching your kids to make responsible driving decisions, you help keep them and other on the roadway safe.
  • Driving at night is a high risk activity for beginners. The fatal crashes rate for 16 year old drivers is nearly twice as high as during the day. Make sure your kids are following license restrictions. It could save their life.
  • 16 year old drivers are more likely than any other group of drivers to be involved in fatal crashes involving high speeds. Keep your kids safe and talk to them about the importance of obeying posted speed limits.
  • Teen agers are less likely than adults to use their seatbelts. Talk to your kids about the importance of buckling up and obeying the laws.
