I heard that in Idaho a pizza delivery driver is allowed to go 5 over the speed limit because they are delivering hot food which is of course time sensitive. Is this true for WA?
Not at all Zach. We are all required to follow the posted speed limit.

I got a ticket a in august and was under my intermediate driving restrictions still. does my driving restrictions such as the 6 months where i cant have anyone under the age of 20 im my car restart from the time i recieved my ticket, the day of court, or does it restart at all?
That is completely up to the Dept. of Licensing. I would call them if I were you and ask them if they are planning on, or have made any changes to your driving status. Craig.

If I was to rear end a car and the car that I hit was to rear end the car in front of them who would be at fault for hitting the third car?? would it be me or would it be the car that I hit?? and does it make a difference if the car that I hit was following to closely to the car in front of them?
Well if you hit the car in front of you, you would be following too close too. You would get the ticket for following too close. I am not involved in the insurance aspect so it would be up to everyone's insurance adjusters to deal with that issue. Craig.

(26) "Immediate family" includes the spouse or domestic partner, dependent children, and other dependent relatives, if living in the household. For the purposes of RCW 42.17.640 through 42.17.790, "immediate family" means an individual's spouse or domestic partner, and child, stepchild, grandchild, parent, stepparent, grandparent, brother, half brother, sister, or half sister of the individual and the spouse or the domestic partner of any such person and a child, stepchild, grandchild, parent, stepparent, grandparent, brother, half brother, sister, or half sister of the individual's spouse or domestic partner and the spouse or the domestic partner of any such person.
RCW 46.20.075
Intermediate license.
(1) An intermediate license authorizes the holder to drive a motor vehicle under the conditions specified in this section. An applicant for an intermediate license must be at least sixteen years of age and:
(a) Have possessed a valid instruction permit for a period of not less than six months;
(b) Have passed a driver licensing examination administered by the department;
(c) Have passed a course of driver's education in accordance with the standards established in RCW 46.20.100;
(d) Present certification by his or her parent, guardian, or employer to the department stating (i) that the applicant has had at least fifty hours of driving experience, ten of which were at night, during which the driver was supervised by a person at least twenty-one years of age who has had a valid driver's license for at least three years, and (ii) that the applicant has not been issued a notice of traffic infraction or cited for a traffic violation that is pending at the time of the application for the intermediate license;
(e) Not have been convicted of or found to have committed a traffic violation within the last six months before the application for the intermediate license; and
(f) Not have been adjudicated for an offense involving the use of alcohol or drugs during the period the applicant held an instruction permit.
(2) For the first six months after the issuance of an intermediate license or until the holder reaches eighteen years of age, whichever occurs first, the holder of the license may not operate a motor vehicle that is carrying any passengers under the age of twenty who are not members of the holder's immediate family as defined in RCW 42.17.020. For the remaining period of the intermediate license, the holder may not operate a motor vehicle that is carrying more than three passengers who are under the age of twenty who are not members of the holder's immediate family.
(3) The holder of an intermediate license may not operate a motor vehicle between the hours of 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. except when the holder is accompanied by a parent, guardian, or a licensed driver who is at least twenty-five years of age.
(4) It is a traffic infraction for the holder of an intermediate license to operate a motor vehicle in violation of the restrictions imposed under this section.
(5) Enforcement of this section by law enforcement officers may be accomplished only as a secondary action when a driver of a motor vehicle has been detained for a suspected violation of this title or an equivalent local ordinance or some other offense.
(6) An intermediate licensee may drive at any hour without restrictions on the number of passengers in the vehicle if necessary for agricultural purposes.
(7) An intermediate licensee may drive at any hour without restrictions on the number of passengers in the vehicle if, for the twelve-month period following the issuance of the intermediate license, he or she:
(a) Has not been involved in an accident involving only one motor vehicle;
(b) Has not been involved in an accident where he or she was cited in connection with the accident or was found to have caused the accident;
(c) Has not been involved in an accident where no one was cited or was found to have caused the accident; and
(d) Has not been convicted of or found to have committed a traffic offense described in chapter 46.61 RCW or violated restrictions placed on an intermediate licensee under this section.

What are the consequences of a pedestrian crossing the Barker Bridge while under construction? (the workers bridge)
Basically it is a trespassin issue. I have not looked at the signs on the bridge but if it states no pedestrian traffic then that would be the situation. Craig.

I have a pretty naging back injury and I have to go to the doctors every month for a new prescription so I found a website that says i can get 90 day prescriptions is this sit leagal or what or is buying pain releivers on the internet illeagel
I spoke with the pharmacy and they advised me the easiest and safest route for you to take is to contact a local pharmacy, give them the specifics and make sure you are dealing with a reputible and legal company. Craig.

Is it illegal to have tires that stick out beyond the fender? If yes, does the dealer who sold the car to me that way have any responsibilities? Thank You, Kevin
Not sure on the dealer's responsibility. However, you have to have mud flaps that cover the entire width of the tire so you are not kicking rocks and debris up on vehicles behind you. Craig.

Is the "stay right except to pass" rule applicable to arterials also? Is it illegal to flash my brights at someone in the left lane on the highway, interstate, etc, to get them to move to the right?
No. That only deals with highways with two or more lanes. As far as flashing your lights, this more times than not leads to "road rage" incidents. My recommendation would be to simply change lanes and go around them. Frustrating, yes, safer than flashing and tailgaiting, which makes you a reckless driver, yes. Craig.

Is is legal to shoot guns on Mt. Spokane? Not up near the ski area but on the lower part of the mountain. Are there other state lands that I can shoot on? Thanks Tony
If you go to our web site, spokanecountysheriff.org, you can see exactly where shooting areas are at in the county. Craig.

Do you have to yield to oncoming traffic when turning left from a two way stop when oncoming traffic stopped after you?
Right of way rules here. If you were at the stop sign first then you have the right of way.
